I currently am a PhD student at the University of Lleida and the CTFC, where my topic is "Modelling post-fire dynamics or Mediterranean pinewoods". My reaserch focus on understanding the interaction between competition, climate change and management on post-fire regeneration; as well as the ecosystem service trade-offs forests will have to face in the future.
I am a Forest Engineer with a specialization on Forest Restoration and landscape planning. Also I have two masters one focused on climate change and the other on european forestry. I have worked with tropical forest dynamics and its interactions with bees, as well agroforestry in indigenous communities and carbon inventories. I did my graduation work and specialization thesis on soil quality and worked as an student assitant for the soils laboratory while finishing my forestry studies. My first master thesis was on adaptation to climate change and increasing the resilience of indigeneous communities through agroforestry; while my second one had the topic of changes in reproductive phenology in forest herbs due to climate change and nitrogen depostion. Both my work experience and thesis, allowed me to develop my social and biological science research skills, by applying sampling methodologies, data processing and the usage of different statistical approaches; as well have a professional growth by learning how to work in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate work teams and projects.
